Expanded alloy 4J36 Strip

4J36 alloy is also called INVAR alloy. The Curie point of the alloy is about 230°C. Below this temperature, the alloy is ferromagnetic and has a very low expansion coefficient. Above this temperature, the alloy is non-magnetic. , the expansion coefficient increases.

Application Scenario

4J36 alloy stripis mainly used to manufacture components with approximately constant dimensions within a temperature range and is widely used in the radio industry, precision instruments, meters and other industries.

4J36 alloy stripis easy to cold and hot process. During thermal processing, heating in a sulfur-containing atmosphere should be avoided.
The cutting properties of the 4J36 alloy strip are similar to austenitic stainless steel. When processing, high-speed steel or carbideg-cutting tools are used for low-speed cutting. Coolant can be used when cutting. The alloy has good grinding properties.

4J36 alloy stripis known as the king of metals and is an indispensable structural material for precision instruments and equipment.

Production Process

The manufacturing process of stainless steel and alloys involves multiple steps to transform raw materials into flat, rectangular sheets or plates made of stainless steel and alloys. Here are a few key steps for stainless steel and alloys:

  • Casting

    Casting

Molten stainless steel and alloys are cast into large ingots or billets through a casting process.

  • Hot rolling

    Hot rolling

During the hot rolling process, the thickness of the steel ingot is gradually reduced and elongated to form long strips or coils.

  • Annealing

    Annealing

Annealing involves heating stainless steel and alloys to a specific temperature and then slowly cooling it.

  • Cold rolling

    Cold rolling

Cold rolling is carried out through rolling mills to reduce thickness to meet customer specifications.
