Monel K500 has the same corrosion resistance as Monel400, but has higher mechanical strength and hardness than 400. It also has better hot corrosion resistance and long-term organizational stability. However, the plasticity is slightly lower than that of Monel K500. Compared with Monel400, this alloy contains a mass fraction of 2.3% to 3.15% aluminum AL and 0.3% to 1.00% titanium Ti.
